Thomas Cuisine is hiring a Cook for the Eating Recovery Center (Downtown Denver)!

Pay: $19.50-20.50

Schedule

  • 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM Sunday - Thursday with Friday & Saturday off regularly.
  • Availability to pick up Friday & Saturday occasionally to cover PTO etc.

Location: 8199 E. 1st. Ave. Denver, Co. 80230

You Will

  • Serves meals by reviewing recipes and portion guides; assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients; and maintaining a sanitary kitchen and in accordance with standard food safety procedures.
  • Attends to the detail and presentation of each order according to diet restrictions, allergies, and prescribed meal plan.
  • Completes hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients and assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
  • Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas throughout the work day.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new employees. Instructs personnel in use of new equipment and cleaning methods and provides efficient and effective methods of maintaining work area
  • Assist with other duties as assigned

You Will Need

  • Minimum of one (1) year of hospital, institutional, or restaurant cooking experience to include food preparation
  • Current SERVSAFE certification or has successfully completed an approved food safety sanitation course
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to stand for long durations from 2-4 hours, and up to 8 hours of time.
  • Execute and complete daily and weekly cleaning checklists.
  • Complete daily food prep lists and prep as assigned by the Supervisor and Chef.
