Job description

Line Cook - Avista Resort
$15-$17/hr.

Job Description - The cook will make meals following recipes, prep ingredients, and maintain a clean workspace at all times to follow health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will ensure that any dietary restriction requests from guests are fully executed in a timely manner. The cook will produce meals in their required portions and presentation guidelines.

Job Responsibilities -

  1. Ensure that all safety guidelines for the kitchen are being followed
  2. Operate cooking equipment accordingly
  3. Follow recipes including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  4. Ensure that dishes are presentable
  5. Maintain a clean work area
  6. Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  7. Set up, restock, and maintain clean food preparation areas
  8. Maintain accurate food inventories
  9. Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
  10. Rotate stock items as per established procedures

Requirements -

  1. Previous experience as a cooking staff (minimum 1 year)
  2. Be familiar with food and safety sanitation guidelines
  3. Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  4. Wear the correct attire for a kitchen environment, as required by the supervisor
  5. Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  6. Serve Safe certification is not required but is a plus
