Benchmark, the AC Hotel's rooftop restaurant, is seeking a Cook to prepare food according to direction and server orders. The Cook will help maintain a safe and welcoming kitchen environment through general cleaning and sanitation practices.

The role requires knowledge of the menu, adherence to health regulations, food quality checks, and the ability to handle special guest requests. Shifts may include weekends and holidays, with standing/walking for the full shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in food preparation/handling.
• English fluency preferred.
• Certification of previous training in food service a PLUS.

• Have a thorough knowledge of the menu.
• Maintain and strictly adhere to state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements.
• Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
• Prepare and cook foods of all types.
• Accommodate any special requests made by a guest or offer appropriate alternatives.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Perform any other duties as requested by management.

Description: The Cook is responsible for carefully and safely preparing food according to direction and as ordered by the server. The Cook will help to maintain a safe a welcoming kitchen environment through performing general cleaning and maintenance of food and beverage prep areas. Ensure food safety by dating and rotating food containers, safely storing perishables, and maintaining a sanitary work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in food preparation and handling
• English fluency preferred

• Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays
• Willing and able to stand/walk for entire shift
• Possess basic reading, writing and math skills
