Salary Range: $11.00

Description

Join our award-winning team and enjoy up to $900 retention program pay and more! We are seeking a friendly, professional dining room assistant to support our Food and Beverage team. Your responsibilities will include clearing and resetting tables, assisting food servers, and providing courteous service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.

Essential Duties & Functions

• Set up tables before opening and maintain service stations with supplies
• Promptly clear and reset tables after guests depart
• Handle dirty china, glassware, and linens appropriately
• Follow a checklist each shift and maintain a professional appearance
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Obtain TABC and Food Handler certifications
• Contribute positively to the team and assist guest requests
• Ensure safety and compliance with hotel standards and regulations

Guest Services

• Maintain knowledge of hotel services and amenities
• Engage with guests to provide personalized service
• Greet guests upon arrival and departure
• Practice the hotel's 18 Core Service Standards

Team Support and Training

• Attend meetings and ongoing training sessions
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Participate in monthly meetings and rehearsals

Communication and Reporting

• Collaborate with other departments
• Report incidents or unsafe conditions immediately

Safety & Compliance

• Wear non-slip footwear and comply with alcohol service laws

Basics

• Create an inviting atmosphere and display courteous behavior
• Follow opening, shift, and closing procedures
• Maintain organized work areas and perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs

Working Environment

• Primarily indoor hotel areas, with outdoor work if needed

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to handle difficult customers professionally
• Effective multitasking and time management skills
• High school diploma or equivalent recommended
• Valid TABC and Food Handler’s certificates
