Position Overview

Willows Lodge, 84 guest rooms located 30 minutes from Seattle in Woodinville, Washington. This role serves as a server in the lodge’s dining area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Presents the menu, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food, beverages, and service.
• Is knowledgeable about the wine list, wines‑by‑the‑glass, liqueurs, liquor, ports, and cocktails.
• Writes orders on the check or memorizes them.
• Relays orders to the kitchen and serves courses from the kitchen and service bars.
• Observes guests to respond to additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.
• Completes posted side‑work and opening/closing duties.
• Totals the bill in a timely manner and accepts payment.
• Maintains knowledge of all menu items.
• Clears and resets counters or tables after each course.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic calculations and interpret bar graphs.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.
• Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Current food handlers card and Class13/12 liquor permits required at all times.
• Physical Demands: Ability to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands, frequently lift or move up to 25pounds, and meet specified visual requirements.

Compensation

$17.13 per hour.
