WORK TYPE: Onsite

LOCATION: Ft. Meyer, FL

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday, 7am – 4pm. Full-time position with 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week. Shift times may vary, and additional hours may be required to meet customer commitments. Mandatory overtime may include some weekends.

We are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented individual to join Varsity Brands as a Plume Assembler. You will craft feather and acrylic plumes for various applications, requiring a keen eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and a passion for creating visually stunning products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carefully select feathers by size, shape, and color to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Arrange feathers in patterns or designs using wrapping, layering, and trimming techniques.
  • Secure feathers through tying, wiring, or sewing to ensure durability.
  • Customize plumes according to specifications, incorporating additional elements as needed.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace for efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to meet project requirements and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least three months of related experience or training.
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience.
  • Strong attendance and punctuality record.
  • Occasional duties may include feather steaming, quality control, seasonal cleaning, inventory, and warehouse tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive movements, lift/move up to 50 pounds, walk for 8 hours, and work in a non-climate-controlled environment. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
