The Plumbing Technician handles a wide range of plumbing and routine maintenance tasks and possesses a thorough understanding of related Local Code requirements. In addition, the Plumbing Technician conducts other miscellaneous preventive and reactive maintenance activities on commercial and residential properties within our portfolio. This position is based 100% of the time in the field, driving from property to property throughout the day.

  • Quarterly Bonus! You will be eligible for a quarterly discretionary performance-based bonus of up to 5% of earnings
  • No on-call! Weekday schedule!
  • The company will provide a tool/equipment allowance of $50 per month
  • The company will provide a cell phone allowance of $50 per month

What You'll Do

  • Respond, as directed, promptly and professionally to work order requests.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and installation of all plumbing components, including water heaters
  • Perform other miscellaneous preventive maintenance and minor home repairs as assigned. These could include, but not limited to, electrical, appliances, pool equipment, carpentry, and drywall
  • Ensure work is performed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, homeowners and others.
  • Assist with scheduling, overseeing, and communicating as necessary to complete work orders.
  • Identify/complete any/all additional tasks required to complete the service call in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory of stocked tools and parts in service vehicle.
  • Attend service and safety meetings.
  • Responsible for scheduling routine maintenance and repairs of assigned company service vehicle, as well as keeping a clean and well-organized exterior/interior.
  • Maintain a professional appearance with clean uniform and being well-groomed.
  • Assist other Service Technicians with questions and troubleshooting.
  • Cross training and assisting other company departments.
  • Complete required training courses.
  • Complete the forms required for processing warranty parts.
  • Travel requirements: this position is based 100% in the field.
  • Must comply with all safety regulations and policies, including the use of a back brace, safety goggles, and gloves when appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Effectively operate basic plumbing service and hand tools.
  • Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis where overtime may be required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of previous plumbing experience at a licensed plumbing company
  • Possess a valid state Driver’s License.
  • Must pass an MVR check to drive a company vehicle.
  • Effective use of mobile devices including cellphones, tablets and credit card payment devices.
  • Current OSHA 10 Hour certification or passing OSHA 10 Hour safety course facilitated by the company during orientation.
