Job summary

Prime Craftsman Homes is seeking a Plumbing Technician to install and support residential plumbing systems in modular home units during the manufacturing process.

This role operates in an indoor warehouse/plant environment to ensure safe, efficient installation in compliance with plumbing codes and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install residential plumbing systems in modular home units according to production plans and work instructions.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and secure piping materials (PVC, PEX, copper, or other approved materials).
• Install drains, vents, water supply lines, fixtures, tubs, showers, and related components.
• Perform basic pressure testing and visual inspections to verify proper installation.
• Read and follow basic blueprints, schematics, and layout markings.
• Identify and report installation issues or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Coordinate work with framing, electrical, HVAC, and finishing teams.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
• Meet production timelines while maintaining quality and safety expectations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.

Job Summary

The Plumbing Technician installs, assembles, and supports residential plumbing systems in modular home units during the manufacturing process. This position works in an indoor warehouse/plant environment and follows standardized production methods to ensure plumbing systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable plumbing codes and quality standards.

This role focuses on new construction plumbing installation in the plant and field.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Install residential plumbing systems in modular home units according to production plans and work instructions
• Measure, cut, assemble, and secure piping materials (PVC, PEX, copper, or other approved materials)
• Install drains, vents, water supply lines, fixtures, tubs, showers, and related components
• Perform basic pressure testing and visual inspections to verify proper installation
• Read and follow basic blueprints, schematics, and layout markings

Required Qualifications

• One year of plumbing experience work experience is required.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
• Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in mentoring junior staff
• A positive attitude and ability to work independently and with a team
• Ability to prioritize safety in a manufacturing or construction environment

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• Must be able to climb ladders, work in hot and cold environments, and work in small crawl spaces
• Ability to work indoors in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, moisture, and varying temperatures

Work Schedule & Benefits

• Full-time schedule, typically Monday-Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm.
• Overtime may be required based on production needs.
