Job summary

The established mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor in the DFW Metroplex seeks a Plumbing Superintendent to lead field operations, build strong teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely and to the highest standards.

You will manage manpower, support scheduling and forecasting, mentor crews, maintain quality control, and collaborate with project teams and leadership to drive operational excellence across multiple projects in the DFW market.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber License required.
• 10+ years of plumbing construction leadership experience required.
• OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain shortly after joining.
• Strong communication, leadership, team building, and coaching abilities.
• Experience with scheduling, manpower forecasting, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate plumbing field operations across multiple projects.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to superintendents, foremen, and field personnel.
• Manage manpower planning and labor allocation to meet project demands.
• Support project scheduling, forecasting, and field execution.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, quality expectations, and safety programs.
• Assist in project planning, drawing reviews, submittals, and construction strategy discussions.
• Resolve field challenges, productivity issues, scheduling conflicts, and technical problems.
• Participate in safety investigations and continuous improvement efforts.
• Oversee quality control initiatives and workmanship standards.
• Review labor productivity, cost tracking, and field reporting to support project outcomes.
• Collaborate with project teams and leadership to drive operational excellence.

I'm working with a well-established and respected mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractor that continues to deliver some of the most recognizable commercial and industrial projects across the DFW Metroplex. As their workload continues to grow, they are looking to add an experienced Plumbing Superintendent who can provide leadership in the field, build strong teams, and help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and coordinating plumbing field operations across multiple projects. Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to superintendents, foremen, and field personnel
• Managing manpower planning and labor allocation to meet project demands
• Supporting project scheduling, forecasting, and overall field execution
• Ensuring compliance with company standards, quality expectations, and safety programs
• Assisting in project planning, drawing reviews, submittals, and construction strategy discussions
• Helping resolve field challenges, productivity concerns, scheduling conflicts, and technical issues
• Participating in safety investigations, reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
• Overseeing quality control initiatives and maintaining workmanship standards
• Reviewing labor productivity, cost tracking, and field reporting to support successful project outcomes
• Collaborating with project teams and company leadership to drive operational excellence

What We're Looking For

• Journeyman Plumber License
• 10+ years of plumbing construction leadership experience
• Strong background in managing large field teams and multiple supervisors
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installation methods, and construction practices
• OSHA 30 Certification or ability to obtain certification shortly after joining
• Strong communication, leadership, team building, and coaching abilities
• Experience with scheduling, manpower forecasting, and project coordination
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and construction-related software platforms
• Ability to travel as needed to support project operations
