Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a skilled Journeyman Plumbing Service Technician to perform service, repair, replacement, and preventive maintenance of commercial plumbing systems.

This safety-conscious role requires reading blueprints, complying with codes, and coordinating with foremen and project managers. Valid driver's license and a union environment are noted; after-hours emergencies may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or plumbing apprenticeship.
• 3+ years of Journeyman-level experience in commercial or industrial plumbing environments. – This is a San Francisco Bay Area Local Union position.
• Journeyman Plumber certification required; Backflow Prevention Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Proven knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, plans, and drawings.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license required and must meet company MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, replacement, and installation of commercial plumbing systems and equipment.
• Service and maintain grease traps, oil/gas separators, drainage systems, and related equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and complete required documentation and reporting.
• Accurately complete service tickets, plumber reports, and job documentation as required.
• Respond to tenant service requests including restroom repairs, drain cleaning, and sewer line maintenance using motorized equipment.
• Respond to emergency service calls as required, including after-hours support.
• Work safely at all times and ensure safe working conditions are maintained at job sites.
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and job hazard requirements.
• Communicate effectively with customers, Foremen, Project Managers, and Service Management regarding job status and findings.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in a clean and professional condition.

Job Summary
