Job summary

Home Comfort Experts, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking a Plumbing Service Technician to diagnose and repair residential plumbing systems, educate customers, and ensure a positive customer experience while working from fully stocked trucks. You will handle on-site service calls and installations with a focus on quality and safety.

The role offers an hourly training wage, a path to a lucrative annual earnings range, and a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekend rotations.

Qualifications

• Residential plumbing service experience (3+ years).
• Basic hand tools, power tools, torches.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks and faulty fixtures.
• Conduct service calls for emergency plumbing needs and on-site assessments.
• Install plumbing systems, water heaters, faucets, toilets, and related fixtures as needed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean workspace inside homes and in the work vehicle.
• Communicate clearly with clients to explain services and ensure satisfaction.
• Accurately complete service reports, estimates, and invoices.

Role Overview

Plumbing Service Technician

At Home Comfort Experts, Our Service Plumbers are responsible for diagnosing and repairing residential plumbing systems while educating customers to inform confident buying decisions. As a valued member of our team, you can expect to run service calls in fully stocked trucks while ensuring proper repairs and success in creating a customer for life experience.

Compensation: $24-$28, hourly for training, PTO, and Holiday Pay. Specific drive times and warranty calls are eligible for hourly pay.

Day to day: Commission Structure- 17%-23%+Spiffs

Average Yearly: $70,000-$125,000

Schedule: Monday- Friday, one rotating weekend day every 4-8 weeks Company vehicle & gas card provided after training/ Dispatched from home

Role Responsibilities

• Plumbing Repairs: Diagnose and repair plumbing issues, including leaks, broken pipes, and faulty fixtures.
• Service Calls: Conduct service calls for emergency plumbing needs, assessing and resolving issues on-site.
• Installation: Install plumbing systems, water heaters, faucets, toilets, and other plumbing fixtures as needed.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and plumbing regulations, maintain a clean and organized workspace both inside the home and work vehicle.
• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of services performed and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Documentation: Accurately complete service reports, estimates, and invoices.

Required Experience

• 3+ years of experience of residential plumbing service experience
• Basic hand tools, power tools, torches, etc
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds, work in various weather conditions, and enter confined spaces as needed.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Suite

Preferred experience

• Active Journeyman Plumbing License
• Intermediate knowledge/use of industry standard software (I.E Service Titan, or other related systems)
