Kimley-Horn is seeking a skilled Revit Designer to join our MEP team in Irvine, CA. The role emphasizes plumbing system design, accurate Revit modeling, and coordination across disciplines to deliver high-quality project documentation.

Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of plumbing design experience, strong BIM proficiency, and a solid understanding of applicable codes. This on-site position offers opportunities to work on diverse projects with a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in plumbing system design using Revit.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit; BIM experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of plumbing design and industry standards (ASPE, UPC, building codes).
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• A proactive mindset with problem-solving abilities and dedication to delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Develop plumbing system designs in Revit for various project types (commercial, residential, industrial, etc.).
• Create detailed construction documents, including layouts, schematics, and specifications for plumbing systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, and consultants, to ensure design integration and accuracy.
• Coordinate 3D models with MEP systems and other project stakeholders for seamless project execution.
• Perform quality checks and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Assist with project documentation, revisions, and updates in Revit, adhering to project timelines and budgets.
