A day in the life:

  • Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of domestic water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes
  • Assist with sheet metal products and ductwork for commercial projects as well as assist with any other tasks needed to complete the project

You should have:

  • Journeymen or Master’s license (preferred, but not required)
  • Backflow License (preferred, but not required)
  • Med-Gas Certification (preferred, but not required)
  • Completion of applicable trade school (preferred, but not required)
  • Experience with layouts
  • Knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC) and general safety regulations
