Southern Air Heating Cooling & Plumbing in Lafayette, LA is hiring for a Plumbing Install role. You will work with top plumbers, receive hands-on training in residential and light commercial plumbing, and assist with parts, tools, delivery, and installation at job sites.

Ideal candidates are hard-working, eager to learn, enjoy hands-on work, and want to become plumbers. Strong communication, mechanical inclination, and motivation based on effort are valued.

Qualifications

Hard-working and eager to learn new skills.
Experience with plumbing is preferred but not required.
Enjoys hands-on work and practical problem solving.
Interested in pursuing a plumbing career and certification.
Strong communication abilities with customers and team members.
Physically capable and mechanically inclined for field work.
Motivated by rewards based on effort and results.

Responsibilities

Work side-by-side with experienced plumbers on residential and light commercial projects.
Receive hands-on training in plumbing installations and related tasks.
Assist with parts, tools, delivery, and on-site installation.
Help prepare work areas by organizing tools and materials.
Dig trenches and holes for laying pipes and fittings.
Assist in cutting, bending, threading, and joining pipes.
Assist in repairing plumbing problems as needed.
Operate hand and power tools and lift up to 50 lbs.
Follow safety requirements, company standards, and manufacturer specs.

What you will do:

Receive hands-on-training in residential and light commercial plumbing
