Job summary

Prospector Plumbing & Heating is seeking an experienced Plumbing & Heating Technician in Wasilla, AK. This hands-on role covers plumbing, heating, hydronics, and HVAC service and installation for residential and light commercial work.

Alaska Journeyman Plumber license is required for placement, with a focus on quality workmanship and delivering an excellent customer experience. You will diagnose issues, prepare on-site estimates with options, and ensure tasks are completed to high standards

Qualifications

• Current Alaska Journeyman Plumber License
• Strong residential plumbing experience
• Experience with heating systems, boilers, hydronics, or HVAC
• Understanding of oil and gas heating
• Understanding of electrical controls and related mechanical systems
• Ability to diagnose problems and develop effective solutions
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable presenting estimates and repair options to customers
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the office and team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Positive, accountable, and team-oriented mindset
• Willingness to receive coaching and continuously improve

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned jobs from start to finish
• Diagnose plumbing, heating, HVAC, and mechanical system issues
• Inspect systems and identify customer needs
• Build and present on-site estimates with multiple options
• Complete approved work efficiently and to a high standard
• Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and management
• Collect payment at the time of service
• Follow ServiceTitan workflows and document work
• Take photos of completed work and maintain records
• Address callbacks to minimize repeats
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle
• Maintain professional appearance and uphold company standards
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development
• Demonstrate safe, quality workmanship on all service calls
