Job summary

Upchurch is seeking a Plumbing Helper to assist licensed plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will prepare materials, transport tools, and support the crew to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.

The role emphasizes learning safety procedures, basic plumbing tasks, and teamwork while providing hands-on experience and a path toward a trades career in plumbing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Basic understanding of plumbing tools and materials.
• Ability to read basic blueprints or technical drawings (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist plumbers in installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment.
• Prepare and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
• Clean and maintain work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Follow instructions from licensed plumbers and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Help identify and troubleshoot basic plumbing issues under supervision.
• Load and unload plumbing supplies and equipment.
• Support plumbers in measuring, cutting, and assembling pipes and fittings.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks.
