Job summary

Upchurch Industrial LLC is seeking an Apprentice Plumber to join our commercial mechanical construction team. This hands-on training role provides experience under Journeyman and Master Plumbers on large projects such as schools, hospitals, and office buildings.

Applicants must hold a current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License. The position emphasizes safety, learning, and long-term career growth with opportunities for professional development and certification assistance.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Plumbing Apprentice License required.
• Minimum of 3 years of commercial plumbing construction experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong work ethic with a desire to build a long-term career in the plumbing trade.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Reliable transportation to travel to various job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, natural gas, and vent piping.
• Learn to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install piping and plumbing components according to project requirements.
• Assist with underground rough-in, above-ground rough-in, fixture installation, and final trim-out activities.
• Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and plumbing equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and job site requirements.
• Attend apprenticeship training and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members while demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop trade skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
