Job summary

H2M architects + engineers, a multi-discipline architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm with multiple offices in NY & NJ, seeks qualified interns to work closely with experienced professionals in our Mechanical and Plumbing / Fire Protection Engineering Departments.

The internship provides hands-on experience with real projects, field visits, and workshops on resume writing, interviewing skills, benefits, and presentation techniques.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a Mechanical Engineering or related program at an accredited institution.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Eagerness to learn and ability to work independently as well as in a team.

The Intern will be responsible for:

• General administrative tasks such as gathering and compiling data.
• Assisting project managers with construction drawings and specifications.
• Computer drafting using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:

• Enrolled as a sophomore or higher in a Mechanical Engineering or related program at an accredited institution.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work individually as well as in a team.
