Baird Heating & Cooling, in business for over 30 years servicing Gettysburg & Littlestown, PA, is looking for a skilled and experienced Plumbing Estimator / Lead Technician to join our growing team.

As our Plumbing Estimator / Lead Technician, you'll wear multiple hats-meeting with customers to evaluate their needs and provide accurate estimates, mentoring apprentices and journeymen, and when needed, getting hands-on with plumbing tasks. This role blends leadership, fieldwork, and technical expertise to support both our customers and our internal team.

Pay Range: $34.00 - $42.00/hour + Spiffs

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (OT & weekends as needed)

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with customers to assess needs and develop accurate estimates and job proposals
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians
• Perform a wide range of plumbing tasks including installation, maintenance, and repairs
• Oversee and ensure code-compliant installations and repairs
• Supervise and lead job sites, ensuring safety and efficiency

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Master Plumber License
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Backflow Certification
• Strong math, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Excellent understanding of plumbing tools, systems, and codes
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and perform physical labor
• Must have own hand tools

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in residential and/or commercial plumbing
• Proven experience in job estimating, bidding, and contract development
• Background in mentoring or leading technicians
• Experience working with a wide variety of plumbing materials and systems
