Job summary

Premier Global Links LLC in Austin, Texas, is recruiting a Junior Plumbing Engineer (EIT) to assist in designing and coordinating plumbing systems for commercial and institutional projects. The role requires an engineering degree, an active EIT credential, and hands-on experience with plumbing calculations and construction documents.

You will work with AutoCAD and Revit, participate in field observations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while progressing toward a Texas P.E. license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Active Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Understanding of plumbing systems, building design fundamentals, and engineering calculations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and manage assigned deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design of domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and specialty plumbing systems.
• Perform engineering calculations for pipe sizing, fixture counts, water demand, drainage systems, and equipment selection.
• Prepare and update plumbing construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Research applicable plumbing codes and building standards, including IPC and UPC requirements.
• Use AutoCAD, Revit, and related software to develop and coordinate construction documents.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, design alternatives, and engineering analyses.
• Review shop drawings, equipment submittals, and RFIs.
• Participate in field investigations, site visits, and construction observations.
• Coordinate plumbing designs with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project managers and senior engineers with schedules, deliverables, quality reviews, and project documentation.
• Communicate technical information and project updates to internal teams, clients, and contractors.
• Continue professional development toward obtaining a Texas P.E. license.

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MEP consulting engineering or building systems design.
• Familiarity with the International Plumbing Code (IPC), Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC), and applicable building codes.
• Experience with plumbing construction documents, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Master's degree in Engineering.
• Experience with project coordination, technical documentation, and construction administration.

Work Schedule

• Full-time, hybrid position based in Austin, Texas.
• Occasional site visits and construction observations may be required.
