Owen Thomas Group is seeking a Plumbing Engineer to join our growing MEP team in Florida. You will design and coordinate plumbing and medical gas systems for healthcare, government, and commercial facilities, managing projects from design through construction.

The ideal candidate will have medical gas design experience, a PE or EIT license, and 5+ years in plumbing design within an MEP firm, with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

  • Medical gas design experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of plumbing design in an MEP consulting firm.
  • Healthcare facility design experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Florida Plumbing Code and NFPA 99.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • EIT or PE license.

Responsibilities

  • Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, storm, vent, gas, and specialty piping.
  • Design and coordinate medical gas systems for healthcare facilities.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate plumbing designs with mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and architectural teams.
  • Ensure designs comply with plumbing codes, NFPA standards, healthcare regulations, and project requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and owners.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction administration support.
  • Conduct site visits and assist with field coordination during construction.
  • Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality and meeting project schedules.

Job description

We are seeking a Plumbing Engineer to join our growing MEP engineering team.
