Job summary

Actalent in Chicago, IL is seeking a Plumbing Design Engineer to design plumbing systems for building projects, perform load calculations, size equipment, and develop construction documents in Revit.

You will ensure code compliance (IPC/UPC, IBC), coordinate across teams, and support site visits. Hybrid contract-to-hire role with strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, plus experience from schematic design to construction documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3-6+ years of MEP/AEC plumbing design experience.
• Certification preferred.
• LEED Accreditation is a plus.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and/or Newforma is beneficial.
• Commercial or high-rise/multi-building residential experience is highly preferred.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.62 - $52.40/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
