Job summary

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing- Service Minds is hiring Plumbing Assistants in Lakeland, FL. This full-time, on-site role offers year-round work and hands-on training alongside experienced plumbers to repair, install, and upgrade residential plumbing systems.

No extensive plumbing experience is required; mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are highly valued. You’ll receive technical training, safety guidance, and opportunities to grow within Service Minds.

Qualifications

• Some previous experience in plumbing, construction, maintenance, HVAC, mechanical work, or another hands-on trade
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in developing residential plumbing skills

What You'll Do

As a Plumbing Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced plumbing professionals to complete residential plumbing work safely, efficiently, and professionally.

You will:

• Assist with residential plumbing repairs, installations, replacements, and upgrades
• Help install and replace water heaters, fixtures, faucets, toilets, piping, drains, water treatment equipment, and other residential plumbing systems
• Prepare tools, equipment, materials, and jobsites
• Assist with removing and replacing existing plumbing equipment and components
• Use common hand and power tools safely and correctly
• Assist with basic plumbing tasks under the direction of an experienced plumber
• Learn proper residential plumbing procedures, installation methods, and best practices
• Help identify and troubleshoot plumbing issues as your skills develop
• Transport and organize equipment, materials, and tools
• Follow instructions from experienced plumbers and field leaders
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable industry standards
• Protect customers' homes and property while work is being performed
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners
• Help deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles
• Complete required job documentation as assigned
• Represent Benjamin Franklin Plumbing with professionalism, reliability, and integrity

What We're Looking For
