SOS Plumbing & Heating is expanding and seeking a dependable Apprentice Plumber/Pipefitter who wants to build a long-term career in the plumbing and heating trade across Rhode Island. You’ll receive hands-on training and learn from skilled professionals on residential and light commercial projects.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude or construction experience is a plus, but not required.
• Able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Successful completion of a background check and RMV review.
• Applicants with at-fault accidents or moving violations within the past three years will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers and pipefitters with installations, repairs, and service work
• Learn residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic heating systems
• Install water, drain, gas, and heating piping under supervision
• Help with fixture installations, water heaters, boilers, and plumbing equipment
• Safely operate hand and power tools while maintaining an organized work area
• Read and understand job layouts, drawings, and installation instructions
• Follow company safety procedures and provide professional customer service
