Job summary

Power Design is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice in the Charlottesville, VA area to gain hands-on experience and a clear path toward becoming a Plumbing Journeyman, with potential to advance to a team lead on larger projects.

You will assist in multifamily and commercial installations, learn plumbing codes, and participate in an official apprenticeship program with required classes. OSHA 30 certification is preferred; a high school diploma or GED and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED and reliable transportation.
• Register/enroll in a mechanical apprenticeship program and remain in good standing.
• Able to physically perform the essential functions of the job.
• Willing to learn plumbing codes and construction safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a licensed Plumbing Journeyman for on-the-job training to become a Journeyman.
• Help perform multifamily and commercial plumbing installations.
• Learn and perform all scopes of large-scale projects, assisting in installing water supply and drainage systems and setting fixtures to code.
• Participate in an official apprenticeship program and attend classes as required.
