Southern Home Services is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in residential plumbing. You will learn installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, handle tools, assist with troubleshooting, and follow safety and code procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Licensing: Ability to obtain apprentice plumbing licenses or permits as required by local/state laws.
• Physical: Able to lift heavy materials, work in tight spaces, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• Math: Basic math for measurements and conversions.
• Willingness to Learn: Eagerness to develop plumbing skills and follow guidance.
• Work Ethic: Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a regular schedule.
• Safety: Understand and follow workplace safety procedures.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with team and customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify leaks and locate problem areas.
• Assist in repairing or replacing pipes and components.
• Determine appropriate tools and equipment for each job.
• Support the plumber to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
• Help prepare cost estimates for clients.
