Job summary

Midway Plumbing in Abilene, TX is hiring a Plumbing Apprentice to support licensed plumbers on residential service calls, repairs and installations. You will learn, follow safety protocols, and progress toward full licensure while gaining hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Texas Apprentice Plumbing License or ability to register with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) — Midway Plumbing will assist with registration
• Strong interest in the plumbing trade and a desire to grow with Midway Plumbing
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in crawl spaces, attics, and tight areas
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
• Good communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with residential plumbing service calls, repairs, and installations
• Support tasks such as diagnosing issues, replacing fixtures, water heater installs, drain cleaning, and leak repairs
• Learn and follow company processes, safety protocols, and service standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, equipment, and service vehicle
• Protect customer property and leave every work area clean at the end of the call
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members
• Participate in ongoing training and development to progress toward full licensure
• Follow all state and local plumbing codes and compliance requirements
• Provide support during after-hours or weekend shifts as needed
