Job summary

Midwestern Mechanical in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to learn under Journeymen and Foremen, participating in installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing, water flow and drainage systems.

You will complete the apprenticeship to become a skilled Journeyman plumber, work on commercial and residential projects, and join a 100% employee‑owned culture with strong training and promotion from within.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Field experience in plumbing preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read and interpret written materials.
• Basic math skills for measuring and materials.
• Ability to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assembly, fabrication, installation and repair of plumbing systems.
• Perform work safely and in accordance with codes and policies.
• Inspect equipment and identify defects or issues.
• Test for leaks using compressed air or water.
• Maintain professional and positive relationships with customers.
• Work under supervision with goal of advancing to Journeyman plumber.
