Job summary

Riddleberger Brothers, Inc. is seeking Plumbing Apprentices to assist Licensed Plumbers while expanding their knowledge of this skilled trade.

This full-time, construction-based role will involve work on schools, hospitals, and other major projects in Virginia. Starting pay ranges from $19.00 to $26.50 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for advancement, a scholarship program for employees’ children, and company-provided vehicle or phone where required.

Qualifications

• Be eager to broaden knowledge of the trade and learn from licensed plumbers.
• Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to meet company driver qualification policy.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, medical gas, refrigeration and drainage systems.
• Rough-in installation of piping; measure and cut pipes before install.
• Locate leaks with soap and water solutions or pressure gauges and repair damaged pipes.
• Join pipes using soldering, banding, cementing, clamping and brazing.
• Install and test pipe systems; cut and bore holes as needed and ensure proper test medium.
