Job summary

Western Heating + Air + Plumbing is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to join our team and start a long-term career in residential plumbing. You will receive hands-on training from licensed plumbers, learning core maintenance tasks and customer service while riding with senior technicians to build essential trades skills.

The role focuses on foundational services, safety, and professional conduct in customers' homes, with a clear growth path toward becoming a full-service plumber.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, on-the-job training with licensed plumbers.
• Progressive skill development toward becoming a full-service plumber.
• Exposure to residential plumbing systems including water heaters, drains, fixtures, and piping.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water heater maintenance, including flushing and preventative service.
• Perform whole-home plumbing inspections under supervision.
• Support drain cleaning services, including basic clearing and preventative maintenance.
• Ride along with experienced service technicians to observe and assist with plumbing repairs and replacements.
• Troubleshooting plumbing systems.
• Customer communication and service best practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Properly handle tools, equipment, and materials.
• Accurately document work performed and observations.
• Follow all company safety policies and plumbing codes.
• Represent the company professionally in customers' homes.
