Job summary

Capstone Mechanical, LP. in Connecticut is seeking a Plumbing Apprentice to assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems under the guidance of licensed plumbers, building hands-on experience and trade knowledge.

The role emphasizes safety, a strong work ethic, and clear communication with project managers and teammates; the apprenticeship requires a CT high school diploma, CT 576 hours plumbing coursework if available, OSHA 10, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a technical High School.
• Completion of CT accredited plumbing classroom hours (576 hours) preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of an OSHA 10 certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with varied audiences.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn the plumbing trade.
• Ability to communicate with internal team and customers.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, water supply lines, drainage systems, and related equipment.
• Assist with service and installations including measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing pipe, fittings, valves, fixtures, and other plumbing materials.
• Assist plumbers with troubleshooting plumbing issues, inspecting pipes and fixtures, identifying leaks or damage, and performing repairs under supervision.
• Assist plumbers however possible, taking the time to get familiar with tools, equipment, materials, plumbing codes, and proper procedures.
• Maintain a clean work environment, gathering all tools and materials at the end of the day.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Plumbing Apprentice will assist with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, piping, fixtures, and related equipment.
The Apprentice will work under the guidance of licensed plumbers to develop hands‑on experience, build trade knowledge, and strengthen their plumbing skills.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Requires physical work, lifting, pushing and/or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, sitting, squatting, bending, working in confined spaces, feeling, seeing, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Salary & Benefits:

$17.50 - $24.04 per hour based on experience
