Rhodes College is seeking a Plumber Technician to handle the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems. You will work under the supervision of our Maintenance Supervisor and Master Plumber. This role extends over a two-year period, culminating in obtaining the Memphis/Shelby County Journeymen Plumber Certification.

Qualifications

• Preferred high school diploma or GED equivalency.
• One to three years’ experience in plumbing is required.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform yearly backflow testing if certified.
• Repair and maintain plumbing facilities including fixtures and pipelines.
• Install new facilities such as water heaters and faucets.

Skills

One to three years’ work experience in plumbing

Current backflow certification

Valid driver’s license and good driving record

Education

High school diploma or GED equivalency
