The role involves assisting licensed plumbers with residential and commercial plumbing tasks, learning hands-on skills, and supporting installations, repairs, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and willing to perform physically demanding tasks in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand/power tools.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

• Valid driver’s license preferred; required if operating company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with residential and commercial installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Help install, repair, and replace pipes, fixtures, faucets, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and drainage.
• Prepare job sites by organizing materials, tools and equipment.
• Measure, cut, and assemble piping materials under supervision.
• Identify plumbing leaks, clogs, and system issues.
• Dig trenches and assist with underground installations as needed.
• Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials at job sites.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow safety procedures and plumbing codes.
• Assist with testing plumbing systems for proper operation.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.

Plumber's Helper / Plumbing Apprentice

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Plumber's Helper to join a growing plumbing team serving residential and commercial customers throughout Middle Georgia.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry while working alongside experienced plumbers. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, comfortable working with tools, and willing to assist with installations, repairs, and maintenance.

Previous plumbing or construction experience is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn the trade.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed and experienced plumbers with residential and commercial plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Help install, repair, and replace plumbing pipes, fixtures, faucets, toilets, sinks, water heaters, and drainage systems.
• Prepare job sites by organizing materials, tools, and equipment.
• Measure, cut, and assemble piping materials under the supervision of experienced plumbers.

Preferred:

• 6 months to 1 year of plumbing, construction, maintenance, or general labor experience.
• Familiarity with basic plumbing tools, fittings, and materials.
• Experience assisting with plumbing installations or repairs.
• Trade school training or interest in pursuing a plumbing apprenticeship.
• Basic knowledge of residential or commercial construction.
