Job summary

Freund Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to join our HVAC and Plumbing construction team in a versatile, on-site role. You will install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for commercial and residential projects, including hydronic HVAC piping, water supply, drainage, and gas lines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; trade school or apprenticeship preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in plumbing or pipefitting within construction.
• Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and HVAC piping (hydronic, chilled water, steam).
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with copper, PVC, PEX, steel, and cast-iron pipes.
• Familiarity with local plumbing codes and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and secure piping systems including water, gas, drainage, and hydronic HVAC piping.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and isometric drawings.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
• Install valves, hangers, supports, and related piping components.
• Perform system pressure testing, leak detection, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with installation of boilers, chillers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and project specifications.
• Coordinate with HVAC mechanics, welders, and other trades on-site.
• Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area.
• Document work progress and communicate with supervisors.

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Plumber/Pipefitter to join our HVAC and Plumbing construction team. This role is responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems for commercial and/or residential projects, including hydronic HVAC systems, water supply, drainage, and gas lines. Preferred Certifications:

• Journeyman or Apprentice Plumbing License (as required by state/local jurisdiction)
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Welding or brazing certifications (a plus)
