Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR seeks a Plumber & Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and plumbing repairs in a school environment. You will install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, read plans, and coordinate with staff to keep facilities safe and functional.

Responsibilities include maintaining laundry equipment, pools, pumps, and water treatment systems, and assisting with HVAC, boilers, and distribution systems. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, or holidays is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in plumbing and general maintenance within a school or similar environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read and understand plumbing plans and blueprints.

• Perform general maintenance, plumbing repairs, and building upkeep.
• Install, maintain, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, water, waste, storm, and sewer lines, valves, fittings, and piping, and gas and fuel lines.
• Inspect and maintain laundry equipment, pools, pumps, and water treatment systems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
• Inspect fire sprinkler booster pumps and maintain compliance documentation.
• Identify leaks, deficiencies, and other building issues and recommend repairs.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and emergency situations.
• Assist with HVAC, boilers, and water heating/distribution systems.
• Support snow removal, furniture/event setups, parking assistance, and other general maintenance needs.
• Maintain inventory of materials and supplies.
• Occasionally work evenings, weekends, holidays, snow days, or other off-hours as needed.
