Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is seeking a Journeyman Plumber with multiple years of experience to join our commercial plumbing team. You will lay out, install, and repair pipes in varied commercial settings, work outdoors and at heights, and help mentor apprentices on site.

You will earn $25-$35 per hour, with annual reviews and pay increases. Benefits include BCBS health plans, disability coverage, vision, dental, PTO, 401(k) match and life insurance.

Qualifications

• 4 years of Commercial Plumbing experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and install commercial pipes in varied job settings.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to angles.
• Install hangers and fixtures; work at heights.
• Use power and hand tools; brazing copper.
• Assist in teaching Apprentices on site.

Your pay: $25 - $35 per hour, depending on experience. Annual reviews and pay increases.

Your Main Tasks

• Work safely no matter what. Safety is our highest priority.
• Lay out and install commercial pipes in a wide variety of job settings.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles.
• Install hangers to hold pipes in place.
• Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.
• Install plumbing fixtures.
• Use a variety of power & hand tools.
• Brazing copper.
• Help teach Apprentices on the job site.

Experience Or Certification Needed

• 4 years of Commercial Plumbing experience.
• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• OSHA 10 preferred.

You need to be able to

• Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.
• Be punctual and reliable.

• Do Basic “Tape measure math”
• Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.
• Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.
• Work efficiently in confined spaces.
• Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.
• Exercise fine motor control, with good vision and excellent hand-eye coordination.
