Job summary

Service Experts in Charleston, SC is seeking a skilled Plumber II to join our HVAC and Plumbing team. You will perform installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems, using your knowledge of codes and strong problem-solving abilities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, plus plumbing apprenticeship and a license is preferred. We offer training, growth and a comprehensive benefits package, including matching 401(k) and health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship preferred.
• 2+ years of plumbing experience.
• In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.
• Conduct inspections of plumbing systems to identify and diagnose issues or defects.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to plan plumbing system layouts and installations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to discuss project requirements and timelines.
• Estimate materials, equipment, and labor costs for plumbing projects.
• Carry out installations and repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, toilets, showers, and water heaters.
• Cut, thread, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions.
• Adhere to plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior plumbers and helpers.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure plumbing materials and equipment.
