PLUMBER II (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades or the Chief Engineer, the Plumber II is responsible for instructing and directing a work crew of Plumbers and incarcerated persons to install, maintain, inspect, and repair plumbing systems involving water, gas, sewage, and Fire Control Systems. The role includes maintaining order, supervising incarcerated persons, preventing escapes or injuries, and ensuring security of work areas and materials. The incumbent also inspects premises and searches incarcerated persons for contraband, with staff supervision at all times during movement.

Working Conditions

The position is located at California State Prison – Los Angeles County (LAC) in Lancaster, CA, approximately 45 minutes north of Valencia, CA, and about 75 miles from Downtown Los Angeles/Hollywood.
