Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Plumber II at St. Petersburg, FL, to join the facilities team. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing medical gas piping and related infrastructure within a hospital setting.

You will perform preventive maintenance and handle routine repairs in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Required: High School diploma and Medical Gas Certification, 5 years of plumber experience; Journeyman Plumbing License preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical Gas Certification is required.
• 5 years of experience as a plumber is required.
• Journeyman Plumbing License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs piping and related infrastructure in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
• Performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of facility systems, especially plumbing.
• Maintains facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.
• May be scheduled to work various shifts and weekends to meet hospital needs.

Position Details:

• Location: St. Antony’s Hospital – St. Petersburg, FL

• Status: Full-time

• Shift: 7am-3:30pm

• Days: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs water, steam, condensate, pneumatic, fuel oil, natural gas, medical gasses, fire main, soil drain and sewer piping, valves, pumps, traps, regulators, distribution infrastructure and fittings in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.

• Performs demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include plumbing and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes.

• Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.

• May be scheduled to work various work shifts and weekends to meet the needs of the hospital not necessarily within the craft lines.

• May require travel to perform necessary maintenance work at other BCHS facilities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• Required: High School or Equivalent

• Required : Medical Gas Certification

Licenses

• Journeyman Plumbing License is preferred

Experience

• Required : 5 Years experience as a Plumber

• Preferred: 3 Years Hospital Maintenance
