Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Department of Human Services seeks a Plumber 1 at Selinsgrove Center to support multiple buildings with hands-on installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems. You will inspect and service fixtures, equipment, and piping, following blueprints and work orders to ensure reliable operations across the campus.

The role operates 1st shift, full-time, with a 37.5-hour week, and requires an active motor vehicle license and PA residency.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing components and fixtures;
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Install potable, wastewater, and pneumatic piping using copper, iron, plastic, and other approved materials.
• Repair pumps, valves, heating components, housekeeping equipment, and dietary systems.
• Maintain sinks, drains, water lines, wastewater lines, and related plumbing fixtures.
• Assist with fire hydrant work, utility marking, and trench preparation for major repairs.
• Maintain plumbing related electrical equipment such as float valves, solenoid valves, and thermostats.
• Follow blueprints and work orders, estimate labor and materials, and communicate supply needs.
