Sign-On Bonus

A sign-on bonus of $4,000 is available for the successful applicant of this position, paid in two installments within months of hire:

1. $2,000 within days of hire date
2. $2,000 months after hire date

Job Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this Plumber in Construction Services include reading and interpreting blueprints, using plumbing tools and equipment to perform maintenance of pumps, pipe fittings, and HVAC installations.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.

Optional Guidelines

Experience in related trade areas may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

• Experience with pumps, pipe fitting, and HVAC installations.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local plumbing codes.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge and skills in the use of all plumbing tools and equipment.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently with other trades.
• Ability to serve as a mandatory employee and report to work during adverse weather or emergency conditions, including public health emergencies.
• Must have a valid North Carolina driver’s license or ability to obtain one prior to hire.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

Experience in the repair, replacement, and construction of plumbing and piping systems.
