Job Description

Under general direction, inspects, installs, repairs, and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain hospital systems, including heating, water, gas, and drainage.

• Installs new plumbing components such as faucets, sinks, toilets, and valves; plans installations by studying blueprints and work sketches.
• Performs maintenance, service, repair, testing, inspection, and installation of plumbing systems and components; maintains inventory parts and supplies.
• May assist other maintenance personnel in repair and service tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to six years of progressively responsible experience.
• City of Detroit plumbing license, Michigan Master Plumber license, or Michigan State Journeyman Plumber's license is required.

This is a full-time, day shift position located in Detroit, Michigan, at DMC Harper University/Hutzel Women's Hospital.
