SPC Mechanical Corporation is seeking a Plumbing Foreman to oversee field installation activities for plumbing systems on industrial and commercial construction projects. You will prioritize productivity, quality, safety, and leadership while coordinating with project and division managers to ensure timely, compliant installations.

You will lead up to 12 workers, read specs and drawings, perform pipe testing, ensure OSHA 30 compliance, and actively enforce the OPS system on site.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ industrial/commercial plumbing experience.

  • Read and interpret Submittals/Specs/Drawings.

  • Understand function of plumbing systems (DWV, DHW, DCW, DHWR, DI, Storm).
  • Create As-Built drawings.
  • Maintain working knowledge of plumbing code and safety.
  • Motivate and lead a team of up to 12 personnel.
  • Follow SPC safety-first policies and OPS system.

Job Summary

The Plumbing Foreman oversees field installation activities for plumbing systems on industrial and commercial construction projects. This role emphasizes productivity, quality, safety, and team leadership. The foreman works closely with project and division managers to ensure timely and compliant installations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead work crews in the plumbing trade. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Monitors the work of employees for adherence to plans and specifications.
  • Perform Pipe testing and document the necessary paperwork
  • Read and fully understand Submittals/ Specs/Drawings
  • Basic understanding of Plumbing equipment/Fixture detail per the contract drawings/Specifications
  • Understand the function of a Plumbing system. (DWV, DHW, DCW, DHWR, and DI, Storm)
  • Ability to create As-Built drawings
  • Working knowledge and basic understanding of the plumbing code
  • Acts as a working foreman to fit, cut, and install various piping systems (DWV, DHW, DCW, DHWR, and DI, Storm)
  • Working knowledge of how to chlorinate a Plumbing system
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team of 12 people
  • Knows and complies with company rules and regulations
  • Working knowledge of Stratus, ACC, Blue Beam, ACC model viewer, HH2, Egnyte, and company email
  • Follows and promotes a SPC safety-first job site
  • OSHA 30
  • Coaching and developing your team/crew
  • Understanding/Enforcement of the OPS system (Tier zero trackers, Tier 1boards, and being able to run/back up the Tier 1 board)
  • Leading the Development plan meeting with lower-tier employees.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ industrial/commercial plumbing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
