Job summary

Catholic Health – Mercy Hospital of Buffalo is seeking a licensed plumber to perform installation, maintenance and repair of water, steam, gas, oxygen, air and vacuum lines in a hospital facility.

The role requires 3–5 years journeyman experience, ability to read blueprints, knowledge of codes and standards; work schedule Days with Weekend and Holiday Rotation, 7:00am to 3:30pm; full-time position based in Buffalo, NY.

Qualifications

• Technical High School graduate preferred.
• Three to five years experience as a Journeyman plumber.

Responsibilities

• Performs installation, maintenance and repair to water, steam, gas, oxygen, air and/or vacuum lines.
• May be required to work outside the normal job classification to facilitate workflow.

SKILL AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM):

Education

• Technical High School graduate preferred.

Experience

• Three (3) - Five (5) years experience as a Journeyman or a Industrial/Commercial plumber.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability

• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Knowledge of codes and standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Environment

• Normal hazards and physical demands of trade.
• Stoops, kneels, crouches and turns in awkward positions and works in close quarters to make inspections and repairs.
