We are hiring immediately for a full-time PLUMBER APPRENTICE position.

Location: TAMU Tarleton Mn - 503 North Neblett Avenue, Stephenville, TX 76401. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. More details provided upon interview.

Requirements: At least 1 year of experience as a Plumber Apprentice. Apprentice card preferred.

Pay Range: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour.

Job Summary

The Plumber Apprentice performs maintenance duties for the facility’s Maintenance Department, working under the supervision of a Plumber Senior Technician. The role is part of an apprentice program guided by a project manager, mentor, supervisor, and advisory committee.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Identify leak locations and perform repairs.
2. Repair or replace parts as needed.
3. Determine required equipment, tools, or materials.
4. Solve basic plumbing problems.
5. Maintain logs, perform rounds, and complete work orders, tests, and inspections.
6. Keep the facility and grounds clean and safe.
7. Attend at least 144 hours of classroom training annually.
8. Learn and use the site CMMS system.
9. Update work statuses and document tasks in the CMMS using a mobile device in real time.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Registered in a Plumber Apprentice Program with USDOL.
• Basic ability to operate hand tools and construction equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and perform strenuous labor.

Working Conditions

Exposure to heat, noise, dust, dirt, and infection control areas. Must meet deadlines and be flexible to work weekends and nights as needed to maintain facility safety and standards.
