*Starting pay is $34.32 an hour*

Schedule is Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with expected overtime

What You’ll Do

As a Plumber Apprentice, you will work with a licensed plumber to gain hands-on experience with all duties connected with the installation, maintenance, and repair of all piping and plumbing facilities throughout the Simsbury, CT plant. Duties may include:

• Installs or repairs piping for waste, sewage and vents; hot and cold water for domestic and steam systems for heating and process.
• Working on assembling compressed air and hydraulic systems for production equipment.
• Maintain fire protection equipment and systems (i.e. fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, etc.).
• Perform routine repair and maintenance on the plant boiler, including collecting and maintaining data logs on steam plant operation.
• Other duties include sheet lead and solder work and maintaining chemical levels in plant boilers.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4 years of Technical schooling in the Plumbing discipline; or
• High School Diploma/GED and 2 years of Technical schooling in the Plumbing discipline to be considered for this position.
• Able to work at heights from a ladder as well as a bucket truck.
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player.
