Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled plumber to perform installations, repairs and maintenance of water, gas, steam, and drainage systems throughout our hospital.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, using power tools, guiding junior staff, and assisting with shutdowns and emergency responses as part of the Fire Response Team. High School Diploma required; prior plumbing experience essential; strong communication and safety compliance required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Previous plumbing experience, required.
• Ability to utilize portable and stationary power tools of the trade and read blueprints.

• Provides guidance and instructions to Plumber B and other personnel assigned to projects.
• Recommends and/or prepares purchase requests.
• Serves as a member of Fire Response Team.
• Assists contractors in shutdown of services and utility systems.
• Performs related duties as required.

Performs various plumbing assignments including installations, repairs and pipe replacements, fittings and plumbing fixtures to maintain the heating, water, gas, and drainage systems throughout the hospital.
