Job description

Candidate is responsible for installs, repairs, and maintenance of pipe systems.

Responsibilities

• Must follow ALL OSHA, Company, and job site safety rules
• Must be able to read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task
• Must be able to cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications using tools, such as cutting torches, grinders, metabola's, pipe threaders and benders
• Assemble and secure all related equipment
• Attach pipes to wall, structures, and fixtures, using brackets, clamp tools, or welding equipment
• Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading
• Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications
• Select pipe sizes, types, and related materials, such as supports and hangers
• Remove and replace worn components
• Inspect work sites for obstructions and to ensure that holes will not cause structural weakness
• Operate motorized pumps to remove water from flooded manholes, basements, or facility floors
