Summary:

The Plumbing Technician is responsible for performing all aspects of plumbing, including installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role requires expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of plumbing fixtures and systems in commercial settings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform service and maintenance tasks on commercial plumbing systems, including pipes, drains, fixtures, and water heaters.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions promptly.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential problems proactively.
• Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, urinals, faucets, and water fountains.
• Work with materials like copper, PVC, PEX, and cast iron for installations and repairs.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to ensure timely project completion.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including PPE usage and hazardous materials handling.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime.
• Maintain accurate records of work, materials used, and time spent.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills:

• Experience with installation and repair of water treatment equipment, piping, controls, underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Knowledge of commercial building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Professional, ethical, and a team player willing to grow with the company.
• Valid license/certification preferred.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.

Physical Demands:

• Work mostly outdoors, with some tasks in an office setting.
• Operate computers and office equipment requiring hand-eye coordination.
• Use hands to handle, feel, or operate objects and tools; reach with hands and arms.
• Stand, talk, hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and smell regularly.
• Climb ladders and work at heights.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

• Typically outdoors or in environments near moving mechanical parts and high places.
• Exposure to wet, humid conditions, airborne particles, and confined spaces.
