Job summary

A leading MEP contractor in Virginia is looking for experienced commercial plumber mechanics to join their special projects team. Responsibilities include assembling, installing, and repairing plumbing systems for commercial construction projects. The ideal candidates should have experience in plumbing and possess relevant licenses or certifications. Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing installations and repairs.
• Knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC) and safety regulations.
• Clean driving record, ability to pass drug screen and background check.
• Completion of applicable trade school (preferred, but not required)
• Possess Journeyman or Master’s license (preferred, but not required)
• Possess Backflow License (preferred, but not required)
• Possess Med-Gas Certification (preferred, but not required)

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair plumbing systems according to specifications.
• Assist with sheet metal products and ductwork.
• Follow specifications and plumbing codes and ensure safety standards

What you will do:

• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of domestic water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes
• Assist with sheet metal products and ductwork for commercial projects as well as assist with any other tasks needed to complete the project

What we are looking for:

• Possess applicable Journeymen or Master’s license (preferred, but not required)
• Possess Backflow License (preferred, but not required)
• Possess Med-Gas Certification (preferred, but not required)
• Completion of applicable trade school (preferred, but not required)
• Experience with layouts
• Knowledge of basic construction/shop math
• Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with co-workers other tradesmen
• Knowledge of International Plumbing Code (IPC) and general safety regulations
• Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
